The tri-tip is a sub-primal steak, with 3 points, in a triangular shape. This cut is usually used for a roast. It is found at the bottom of the sirloin and extends into the rump. The marbling is usually high in this cut, which makes the steak more tender, similar to a prime cut, but with more flavour. This cut can be roasted, or grilled as a steak, giving an excellent eating experience.

GROSS MASS WEIGHT: 300G

All our Wagyu cattle are certified and registered with the Wagyu Society of South Africa. Originating from Japan, Wagyu is known for its superior marbling, which is the fine veins of fat in the meat. This fat is high in Omega 3 and Omega 6, and is considered a healthy fat. The result is a very smooth, and buttery taste which is unique to Wagyu. Our marbling is consistently around a 7 - 9  count out of 11. We do produce Wagyu with higher marbling counts.

Keep refrigerated 0-5°C for up to 2 weeks if vacuum-sealed or for 1 day if sealed with a normal perishable wrapping. Consume within the use-by date. Once the pack is opened use it on the same day.
