Ingredients:
- 680g of L.A. FARMS Angus Beef stew meat
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 4 cups L.A. FARMS Beef Bone Broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic and sauté until they become soft and fragrant.
- Add the beef stew meat to the pot and cook until browned on all sides. This will add flavor to the stew.
- Stir in the tomato paste, cumin, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook for a minute to allow the spices to release their aromas.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours. This slow cooking will help tenderize the meat.
- After the beef has cooked for a while, add the carrots and potatoes to the pot. Continue simmering for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Finally, add the frozen peas to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes until they are heated through.
- Taste the stew and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve the Halal beef stew hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Enjoy the warm and comforting flavors of this delicious Angus beef stew with your family and friends!
