
- 1 kg L.A. FARMS Grass-Fed Angus Beef Mince
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup milk
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp apricot jam
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp chutney
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
- Slivered almonds for topping
- Bay leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Soak the bread in the milk until it becomes mushy.
- In a pan, sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
- Add all the spices, sugar, jam, vinegar, and chutney. Mix well.
- Squeeze the milk from the bread and add the bread to the meat mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Beat the eggs and pour it over the meat mixture.
- Top with slivered almonds and bay leaves for garnish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
- Serve the Malay Halal Bobotie hot with yellow rice or bread.
