Grass-Fed Angus Beef Kidneys with Garlic Recipe

Indulge in our Grass-Fed Angus Beef Kidneys with Garlic, a flavorful and nutritious delight. This recipe elevates tender kidneys to perfection with aromatic garlic, searing, and a luscious sauce.

Ingredients:

2 L.A. FARMS Grass-Fed Angus Beef Kidneys
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup beef or vegetable broth
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:

1. Prepare the Kidneys:
Start by carefully removing the membranes from the beef kidneys and any tough connective tissue. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
Slice the kidneys in half lengthwise, and then cut each half into bite-sized pieces.

2. Sauté the Garlic:
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until it becomes fragrant and starts to turn golden. Be careful not to let it brown too much, as it can become bitter.

3. Cook the Kidneys:
Push the garlic to one side of the pan and add the kidney pieces to the other side.
Sear the kidney pieces for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are browned on the outside but still slightly pink in the center. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the kidney pieces.

4. Deglaze the Pan:
Pour the beef or vegetable broth into the pan to deglaze it. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Allow the broth to simmer for 2-3 minutes, reducing slightly.

5. Add Butter and Season:
Stir in the butter, allowing it to melt and create a rich sauce. This adds a velvety texture and enhances the flavor.
Season the kidneys with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning to your preference.

6. Serve:
Transfer the cooked kidneys and garlic to a serving platter.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired, for a pop of color and flavor.

7. Enjoy:
Serve your Grass-Fed Angus Beef Kidneys with Garlic immediately while they are still hot. They pair well with a side of mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.

This dish offers a unique and rich flavor experience, and the garlic complements the earthy taste of the kidneys perfectly.
